Cozzarelli Funeral Home

History Salvaged has acquired Witness Wood® from the 137-year-old funeral home that was extensively renovated by its late owner, James Cozzarelli, and was featured in all 6 seasons of the HBO series The Soprano’s.  

The business and building itself are unique. It is a traditional owner-occupied funeral home, where James Cozzarelli lived in the lavishly decorated owner’s  quarters on the second floor, above the business.

As the funeral home of The Soprano’s a dozen Soprano family, friends and associates’ funerals were and filmed at Cozzarelli’s including Tony’s mother Livia, Jackie Aprile, Jr. and Christopher Moltisanti.

When actor James Gandolfini, who played Tony, died of a heart attack in 2014, fans created a makeshift memorial outside the funeral home.
