History Salvaged 127 Miles of Smiles Christmas Ornament is a 4" round ornament produced from wood that was by the City of Asbury Park, following the boardwalk's destruction by Superstorm Sandy as she made landfall in New Jersey on October 29, 2012 and decimated the Jersey Shore, Staten Island and beach towns on Long Island.
The 127 Miles of Smiles Christmas Ornament features the NJ Classic image of Tillie most famously seen around Asbury Park where Tillie's image was first displayed more than 60 years ago and has become a New Jersey Shore icon. Engraved with Merry Christmas across the top and Authentic Jersey Shore Boardwalk Wood across the bottom!
Our 127 Miles of Smiles Christmas Ornament can proudly be displayed year after year along with its sister magnets and ornaments to remind us all about the power of Mother Nature and the resilience of those of us who were affected by Sandy but are committed to rebuild, recover and restore.
