The Atlantic City Boardwalk pen collection consists a group of pens made from wood that was salvaged when the northern end of the Boardwalk was destroyed by Superstorm Sandy as she made landfall in New Jersey on October 29, 2012, and decimated the Jersey Shore, Staten Island and beach towns on Long Island.
This Atlantic City Boardwalk Cigar style rollerball is made with 24K Gold Plate hardware (also available Rhodium and Black Titanium hardware) with a twist design and is handcrafted and expertly engraved Atlantic City Boardwalk.
Because of the rarity of available wood from the Atlantic City Boardwalk, these pens are a must for not only those who love the lore of a bygone era when Atlantic City was truly the "World's Playground" or fans of Prohibition, Gangsters and Nucky's Boardwalk Empire but for the countless millions who have vacationed in Atlantic City and still visit the casinos, restaurants, beach, and Boardwalk today.
The Atlantic City Boardwalk has existed for more than 100 years and our pens represent wood from different periods of construction, addition, and replacement (Ipe, Pine, Cedar, Oak, Hemlock). Like all History Salvaged products, each pen is hand made with respect for the rarity and history of the material we are repurposing into heirloom quality pens that although functional can be passed down through the generations.
