The 4" Absecon Lighthouse Ornament is made from Atlantic City Boardwalk wood and commemorates the coastal lighthouse located in the north end of Atlantic City, NJ, overlooking Absecon Inlet where Superstorm Sandy destroyed the Atlantic City Boardwalk on October 29, 2013.
It is only fitting that HPC create a series of items from original Atlantic City Boardwalk featuring current and historic sites of Atlantic City, beginning with an ornament commemorating the tallest lighthouse in the state of New Jersey and is the third-tallest masonry lighthouse in the United States.
Although HPC secured additional Atlantic City Boardwalk wood at the City’s March 1, 2013 auction, like all of our historic Witness Woods®, this too is limited, so don’t miss your opportunity to own an authentic piece of Atlantic City Boardwalk and memories and history it represents.
As an owner of one of these exquisite ornaments, whether you are a collector or just want to hang it from a window, tree or put it in your curio, you are "keeping history alive" and by gifting them or passing them down to your heirs you and they should be proud to own these beautiful pieces and the"witness wood" that was used to create them.
